Turn Compassion Into Action
Purring Angels is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue caring for 80+ cats. We rely on the generosity of our community to keep their lives secure and full of love.
Our Greatest Needs
- Adoptions – Our adoptable cats need forever homes.
- Volunteers – Help with daily care: feeding, litter box cleaning, bedding, bowls, transportation, etc.
- Donations (in-kind) – We always need food, litter, and basic supplies.
- Medical Funds – Especially for treatments like Revolution Plus (for fleas, ticks, internal parasites, and ear mites).
In-Kind Donation Items
Our donation box is in front of our cattery for easy drop-off. Items we’re always grateful for include:
- Canned & dry cat food
- Cat litter
- Laundry detergent
- Paper towels
- Garbage bags
- Small paper plates
We also welcome gift cards for stores/websites such as Walmart, PetSmart, and Chewy.com.
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are the lifeblood of our rescue—your time makes a big difference. Here are some ways to help:
- Twice-daily feeding and litter-box cleaning (choose 1 or 2 shifts each week)
- General cleanup of indoor/outdoor cat areas — sweeping, mopping, tidying
- Transporting cats to vets in Oriental, Kinston, Greenville, or New Bern
- Nail-trimming, brushing, laundering bedding, washing dishes
